Comfort Food

Chicken and Mushrooms


3 to 3 1/2 lbs chicken, cut-up
1/4 cup butter, (Stick-sliced)
1 cup flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sliced mushrooms
Paprika for garnish


Place butter in a 13x9 pan and melt in a 350 degree oven.  Set aside.  Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow pan and coat chicken.  Place skin side down in pan and bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.  Mix sour cream, soup, and mushrooms thoroughly.  Spoon mixture over chicken, garnish with paprika, and bake an additional 30 minutes.
